23

I sometimes get overwhelmed with how much I want to do with my life and I get lost in other things that aren't as important to me as my goals. I spend a lot of my time doing stuff for different jobs, making money to pay bills and what not, rather than putting in the work and time needed to achieve my dreams. If I'm not going to put the time and effort into myself, who will? How would I ever expect to reach my end goals, if I don't work at it everyday? These are the questions I ask myself to motivate me to work harder on my creative pursuits. One of my favorite inspiring videos is a Michael Jordan Nike commercial, where he basically says maybe it's his fault for making the game look easy. He had to work hard everyday to become the legend he is, no excuses.
So like Mike, I'm here ready to hustle, this is just the beginning #putinwork

This week I'm wearing a jersey from a thrift store, I cut into a crop top with a more flattering and feminine neckline. My skirt is from H&M, literally $12 and I wear it ALL the time.

Baubles and Boyfriends

I love mixing clothes together that don't seem to go together, like these ripped boyfriend jeans from Torrid and this statement necklace. I think it adds something interesting to the outfit and it's fun to play with. This necklace I also got while traveling but I'll add links below for some similar pieces. Forever 21 is a great place to get jewelry at a reasonable price. I also really love the statement necklaces from Zara. The bigger the necklace, the better the day.

Ready, Set, Crop

I've had long standing love affair with ASOS. When I saw this crop top and full skirt set, I knew ASOS had me opening my purse once again. I love that sets are in style because they make dressing so easy. You can wear the pieces together or change it up with a new top or bottom. Rebdolls also has some amazing crop top and skirt combos.
Shooting these pictures was hilarious. I was visiting my family this week and my mom wanted to take the pictures, so it became a family affair, puppy model included

Disney Dapper

"Beauty and femininity are ageless and can't be contrived, and glamour, although the manufacturers won't like this, cannot be manufactured. Not real glamour; it's based on femininity"
Marilyn Monroe

This last week was "Dapper Day" at Disneyland. This is my second year going and it's so much fun. There are so many people dressed dapper or who are disneybounding. Disneybounding is when you wear an outfit inspired by a disney character, thank you tumblr! I regularly go to Disneyland and I have such a love of vintage clothing, so this day is so fun.

This year I was inspired by Ava Gardner and working women of the 1940's. I've had this jacket for awhile, gifted from a friend, and it was perfect for the rain. This dress is available now on ASOS. It has the same structured look of a vintage dress, but modern with the color and print. I live for vintage glamour and that's what this whole day is about, a time in fashion gone by.
