I honestly believe that life is 90% about your mentality. If you believe that you can't do something, you won't be able to.  If you don't think you're a BOSS why would anyone else. People from Walt Disney, Oprah, and Steve Jobs, genius in their fields, have all said that it starts with believing in yourself. I can't sit here and type that I always feel bossed up and that I believe in myself all the time, no. There have been many times where my own negative mentality, brought the whole situation down. I always look back to moments like that and realize that I'm the only one at fault and that's honestly not a cute look. Believing in yourself takes hard work and it's something I consistently work towards.

I dress to feel a certain way and dressing gives me strength and confidence, it's like armor. So I decided to wear this flare leg jumpsuit and cobalt blue jacket. This jumpsuit is from a website that specializes in tall clothing for women, LEL, 34" inseam for the win.

No one can stop you if you feel and look like a BOSS

Spilling Tea

Since starting this blog, I have always posted on Fridays but honestly I wasn't feeling it this week. I have been running around doing everything else and Friday came and went. I was bummed I didn't hold myself to the Friday posting schedule but I also never want to compromise quality. So I have a mini post this week. My grandma hosted a tea this week, filled with delicious tea and a large assortment of food; YES, we're Italian there is always lots of food. I decided to take a few shots of what I was wearing, so thanks Mom!

I love this dress and I bought it from ASOS two years ago. I bought it because I loved the electric blue color and I needed a dress to perform in. I wear this dress on stage to sing jazz and musical theatre pieces. It has a vintage feel, amazing color and high slits. This dress gives me LIFE, for real.

I'm a huge Nadia Aboulhosn fan. I have religiously followed her blog since 2011. I sent her a t-shirt I designed back in 2012 and she rocked the shit out of it, check it out here. So as soon as I heard she was collaborating with Boohoo, I jumped on it. I love Boohoo and I love skorts, literally my first blog post is dedicated to those two things. I don't know how to fully convey how much Nadia's blog has inspired me without sounding like a crazy person or disingenuous, so I will just end by saying thank you Nadia and congrats, truly, on all your success! Cheers to the original HBIC

Easter Parade

Every year for Easter my family watches the old Judy Garland musical, Easter Parade, this year is no different. I love holiday traditions and time spent with my ridiculously hilarious family. Easter, among other things, is the start of Spring fashion. This week I wore a dress from one of my favorite vintage, body conscious brands Stop Staring clothing. I've had this dress for years but they always have this style in different colors and patterns. This jacket completed my Easter Sunday church look with an Olivia Pope vibe, similar styles linked below.

Cheers to Spring ++
